Ms. Verlene Dixon is the owner and Director of Operations for CarePoint Home Health, LLC, a Minnesota-based personal care assistance agency and has many years of healthcare experience. She received her Associates degree with Honors in Radiography and was certified as a Registered Radiology and Mammography Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists soon thereafter. She went on to perform medical imaging and interventional procedures in facilities throughout the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area including Johns Hopkins Hospital, George Washington University Hospital, Washington Hospital Center, and others. She later graduated Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore and received her Bachelors of Science in Health Systems Management.
Miss Dixon held the Case Management Consultant position with the Washington D.C. Army National Guard in which she provided support to the Deputy State Surgeon in the assessment of soldiers' overall mental and physical health, fitness, and readiness for deployment. After relocating to Minnesota, she decided to allow her leadership skills, management experience, and years of hands-on patient care to culminate in the launch of CarePoint Home Health, LLC. She is also nationally certified by the National Council on Mental Health as a Mental Health First Aid Instructor For Adults and Youth.
Verlene believes that her healthcare career has allowed her to realize two of her life goals; doing what you love for work and making the biggest positive impact possible on the lives of others.
She currently resides in the Southwest Metro of the Twin Cities with her family and enjoys traveling, music, and entertaining friends and family.
